We would like to announce the arrival of
Kate Elizabeth Tiesenga!
Birthdate: March 13th, 2011
Current Weight: 12 lbs. 4 oz.
Homecoming Day: April 17th, 2011
We have been praying for years for a child to adopt, and God has answered our prayers. I was visiting Amecet and also reading Els's (she runs Amecet) blog and I waited on the Lord! One day I saw Kate on the blog and the Lord spoke in a gentle and quiet way. He told me that this is your daughter. I did not go to Amecet for a while. I wanted to make sure I was hearing right. Two weeks later I went to meet her and instantly fell in love with her and again felt God confirming that she is our daughter. I again waited and then I took Steve to meet her and see how God spoke to him. Steve also felt an instant connection to her and felt God's leading. We started visiting Kate about every other day and continued waiting. I know God's timing is perfect and I didn't want to rush the process. It is a long process and I wanted to make sure that Kate really needed a forever family. Kate has suffered severe neglect and was very much in need of a family that could be her forever family.
Please pray for us as we parent this sweet little one from the Lord!

CONGRATULATIONS! A beautiful little girl, and beautiful joy on your faces. We pray all will go smoothly until the process is complete. (...Could you pray for Jared and Stacey?? They have been back in the U.S. for nearly a year now WITHOUT their little boy, waiting for the paperwork to move through the system. They are growing very weary as they miss him and wait.) Blessings on sweet Kate and your whole family!

Congratulations to you all. How very exciting. Your pictures remind me of our experiences almost 5 years ago. Hope all goes well with the process. Is it almost done, or just beginning?
Congratulations! What a lovely family you make. We rejoice with your rejoicing. -- Darrin & Sarah Compagner (and kids)
