Most Saturday mornings you will find these boys at our house very early. They enjoy fishing and then preparing the food that they have just caught! They do all the work themselves and they even clean up after they are finished! It is the highlight of the week for all of them!
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26

Yoga!
I want to write and share how I feel, but I really don't know how I feel! I am happy to be in Uganda and I will miss it dearly for the three months we will be stateside. I am also so sad that I am not in the states enjoying my family and friends right now. I wanted so much to be on the beach in Lake Michigan. South Haven was calling my name!
I also feel very certain that we are within God's timing! He knows when we are supposed to be stateside and His plans will all play our perfectly!
For so many weeks, while preparing to go, I was feeling really nervous and not sure I was ready to face the states. I think God has used this time to prepare me more fully for our time in the states. I have been nervous about being with people and feeling like I don't belong. I worry about how my children will adjust to the culture stateside. I wonder if they will be anxious to come back here or if it will be awful for them. There are so many things that I think about that I can't even share them all.
I really am ready to come stateside now. I really just want to wrap my arms around my mom and dad! Two years is tooo much time to now hug them. Skype is a wonderful invention, but it is just not the same.
We are still waiting for a court date! We do have good news though, there has been a judge appointed to Soroti!! This means we will not have to travel to Kampala for court. From what we hear, she seems very favorable to children. We are now trying to connect again with our lawyer and get the date set! Everything takes so much time. Just keep praying with us that we will be able to get things settled soon! We are all anxious to see our family and friends! Kate is already two and she hasn't met hardly any of you!!
Join us in praying for our ministry here. We are still trying to stay involved in our community, but feel unable to start any big things. It has been a good time of developing deeper relationships and trust. For this we are thankful. Steve has started to fish with the boys every Saturday morning and is building great relationships with our boys' friends through this. He also does devotions and exercises with Joseph a couple morning a week. He has also been very busy with updating our security manual and medical information for our team. Assessing the community with Pastor Francis also takes up much of his time.
I am still trying to finish our school year! We are pretty much done, but just wrapping things up! The kids have started having Teso classes and are enjoying this as much as I am enjoying the hour before lunch to prepare food. It is giving me a glimpse of what it will be like next year when we have a teacher here. Below is a video of the kids in Teso class!
